Vulnerability and self consciousness....

Through reading other's blogs that are trying to lose weight and get healthy I have been inspired to share some more of my story with people.  They say that pictures say a thousand words so here we go.  Also I am so self conscous about what the scale says that I never really share it... but here I go... stepping out of my comfort zone in hopes to start building both my confidence and also to become a more honest and more real person in both my personal and professional life.  I have found the passion to help people and encourage them on their road to health and I feel like the first step of that is bearing all and being honest about where I have been and where I am now.  Here we go... here's he whole journey...

When I graduated college I was at 250lbs..
When I graduated I decided to change that and over the course of a year and a half I lost 80lbs.

When Nate and I got married I was at 159.

Through nursing school I gained some weight back and hung out at 188 for a long time...

then I got pregnant.

After having Ava I was at 232.  I lost 20lbs quickly and then was stuck.  I was stuck at 212 even with eating right and mini training.

Then I started Advocare in Sept and did the 24 day challenge and lost 13lb and 13in.

Jan 1 I am at 186 I have gone from wearing a tight size 16 to a comfortable 12.    Still a lot of improvement left to go but... i'm getting there and I'm seeing results.. that's all that matters =0)
My goal weight is 150lb my goal size is an 8 and through prayer, healthy eating, Insanity, and Advocare I truely believe it is possible.  Here's to 2012 and goals and dreams coming true!

So there you have it... me, the real, me... the self conscious me, just me =0)

Real chicks I'm so excited about the journey we are on and thanks so much for the encouragement and the comments.  Keep it up and I'm going to try to frequent as many of your blogs and share the same encouragement with you =0)  Here's to 2012!

  1. This story could be me, but I didn't go down when I got to the 230's, I continued on up and after 2 more children got into the low 300's.......so knocking it on the head now.....priceless!!!
