New Year New Me New You?

Wow how time flies.  As the year comes to a close I would like to spend a few moments reflecting on how crazy of a year this has been and another few moments dreaming of how big of a year 2012 will be.

Nate and I used to laugh and say 2008 was a year of beginnings, 2009 was the year of settling (building our house), 2010 was a year of hard work, and 2011 was a year of accomplishments and adjustments and there is no better way to describe 2011.

The year started off with taking and passing my boards to become and RN and getting an amazing job on an OB floor where I take place in helping miracles happen every day.  Then in Feb another dream of mine came true and our first baby was born.  Having Ava led to many "firsts" and although it was hard work it was well worth it. So the adjustments began and the fun continued.  As I continue to look backon 2011 I see God's hand everywhere I look from blessing my hard work and creating and fulfilling my calling to become both an nurse and a mom to providing great jobs for Nate and I and blessing our house and giving us everything we need to survive and to live a pretty decent life.

The year was not just a year of ups however... we had our downs too...  many of them having to do with why I'm so stinking excited for 2012.  During the last year Nate has put in a ton of time at work, and I have also been working quite a bit.  Having to sacrifice family time has been rough on both of us.  Sometimes we joke (not really in a joking manner however) that Ava only realizes she has 2 parents on Sunday... the only day of the week we are together.  Our dream for next year is to change that.

In September I was in a particullarly deep rut in my attitude, energy, and just outlook.  I'd pretty much given up on having any energy any more.  I was training for a mini marathon and hadn't lost a pound and was just stuck and frustrated.  In steps another blessing from God.  My cousin Tracy introduced me to what I didn't realize at the time would become another passion that God would teach me about and would get me excited about and hopefully will bless greatly in the upcoming year.  Tracy introduced me to Advocare.  I began (skeptically I might add) with the 24 day challenge.  In 24 days I had lost 13lbs and 13 inches and felt human again.  I had so much energy and felt so good I had a renewed hope that I could once again look and feel great.  I continued on product and have lost 27 lbs.  Through this journey I have learned a lot about myself and have found my passion to help and encourage other people who are stuck like I was.  God has shown me what it means to care compassionately for others and how to pour love and encouragement into them.  Through finding this passion I decided to invest in the business and begin my journey to building a business in Advocare and to learn more about myself and invest more of me into others.  I'm loving it and really believe God is going to bless this next year and He is going to do great things through both the Hines and O'Haver families.

Another excitement for the new year is Nate's wholesale travel company World Ventures.  Excitement is bubbling and momentum is building and I dream of the day where my husband is standing on a stage encouraging people to keep in the fight and to be prayerfully committed to your business and your personal development and God can do great things.

So as 2011 closes out Nate and I both bow on humbled knees and seek God's will for 2012.  I believe he has instilled passion and purpose in both of us over the last year and over the next year he will begin to explode that passion and purpose.

The verse of our year is going to be Mal 3:10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it."

2012 IS GOING to be a great year!  Will you join us in the excitement and journey
